What is Speed Rank ?

For almost every company listed in z3w.com you will find the values of their "Uptime" and "Speed Rank"

Speed Rank index showns the relative speed between monitored servers from our control points.

That way, the server with faster response time is assigned an Speed Rank of "1", the second one will get a "2", and so on. That means that, the lower the Speed Rank value, the fastest response observed from our Internet connections.

Speed Rank is obtained by measuring response times to connections at port 80 (www) from homeland connections (ADSL and Cable modem), so it could be affected by external factors, like phisical distance from our control points to each monitored server.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE neither Speed Rank nor any of the tools, comments, reviews or articles published in this website pretends to be an indication for the quality of any company listed and of course, they don't reflect a recommendation for buying or not any of their services.

Speed Rank shows only the results observed at the control points in which monitoring services are installed, and may not be the same results that can be observed from any other points.
